Mountain Star

Mountain Star: A story about a mountaineer that will teach you how to draw a star!

“A delightfully engaging and interactive story combining a how-to on drawing stars and an introduction to mountain climbing in far off lands. The photographs of mountains and distant cultures are beautiful and fascinating, blending well with wonderful illustrations and story. A definite hit!”

I would like to make a recommendation for your publication.  The book is Mountain Star by Ginny Fowler Hicks who resides in Oregon.

[Ginny Fowler Hicks has shared an enduring tribute to her brother, photographer and mountain climber Charlie Hicks.  Thanks to Ginny and her daughter Lindsey (Charlie’s Niece,) children everywhere now have an easier way learning how to draw a five-pointed star.  Anjaly Sawant’s colorful paintings and illustrations are also a delight next to photos taken by Charlie Fowler himself during his expeditions.

“Mountain Star” is an inspiration and belongs in your home, library and classroom as a wonderful way to teach children about drawing stars, mountaineering, other cultures, space and losing a loved one.  Teaching my 5 year old son how to draw a star with Ginny’s book was such a positive and meaningful experience, I recommend this book to Libraries and book review publications throughout the world.  ~Prima Bohall, BED
